Jute (also known as burlap or hessian) is one of the most sustainable bag fibers available — grown without pesticides, requiring minimal water, and 100% biodegradable in months rather than decades.
Our jute bags feature a tight 8 × 8 weave for durability, optional laminated lining to prevent fine particles leaking through, and cotton or jute rope handles. The natural fiber color makes printed logos pop with high contrast.

Is jute really biodegradable?
Yes. Untreated jute fully decomposes within 3–6 months in compost conditions. Even with our PE lamination option, the bag is 90%+ biodegradable, with only the thin lining persisting longer.
Will fine particles leak through the weave?
For coarse contents (wine bottles, packaged goods, hard items) the standard 8×8 weave is fine. For fine items (sugar, coffee beans, loose powders) we recommend the laminated lining option.
Can jute be dyed in custom colors?
Yes. We dye jute in muted earth tones — sage, terracotta, charcoal, slate blue, etc. Bright neon shades don't take well on jute fiber. Minimum 500 pcs per custom dye lot.
