- Does the quoted MOQ apply per design, per fabric color, per print colorway, per cord color, per label version, per packing format, or per shipment?
Quality-control points to confirm
- Fabric GSM should be checked by cutting and weighing a measured fabric sample with a GSM cutter or equivalent method, not judged only by handfeel or supplier description. Compare against the approved tolerance, such as +/-5%.
- Fabric shade should be compared against the approved swatch or lab dip under consistent lighting, especially for dyed school colors, natural cotton shade bands, and reorder programs.
- Finished backpack size should be measured flat with the cord relaxed. Measure width at top, middle, and bottom, and height from top edge to bottom seam because soft cotton can distort during sewing, pressing, and packing.
- Top channel width should be checked after sewing, not only on the pattern. The selected cord should open and close smoothly without jamming after repeated pulls.
- Print position should be measured from a defined reference point, such as the top edge, side seam, bottom seam, or center line, against the approved pre-production sample and agreed tolerance.
- Print color should be compared to the approved strike-off or Pantone target while recognizing that pigment on cotton usually appears less glossy and sometimes duller than on coated paper.
- Ink coverage should be inspected after drying and curing, including rub checks on large solid areas, because coarse cotton can expose weak coverage at raised yarns.
- Print defects should be classified before inspection: common major defects include off-position logos beyond tolerance, missing ink, smearing, incorrect color, poor registration, scorch marks, and contamination inside the print area.
- Cord pull should be tested at the top channel and bottom attachment. Failures often appear at stitch ends, eyelet holes, thin reinforcement patches, or knots slipping through openings.
- Corner reinforcement should show secure stitching or dense bar tacks without skipped stitches, loose threads, needle cutting, or tearing around cord exits.
