- How will you prevent contamination from broken needles, oil marks, dust, moisture, mildew, uncured ink, mixed trims, odor, or loose sharp objects during sewing and packing?
- How many pouches are packed per inner bag and export carton, and what are the expected carton dimensions, net weight, gross weight, cubic meters, SKU labels, and pallet instructions for freight planning?
Quality-control points to confirm
- Finished size should normally be controlled within plus or minus 5 mm for pouches up to about 200 mm high and plus or minus 8 mm for larger gift pouches, unless tighter retail-display tolerance is written into the purchase order.
- Gusset depth should be measured after sewing and pressing; a practical tolerance of plus or minus 5 mm is common for simple cotton gussets, but box-fit products may need tighter approval.
- Usable internal height must be checked with the actual bakery product or a dimensionally accurate dummy because the folded drawcord channel typically reduces usable height by 20 to 35 mm depending on construction.
- Cotton GSM should be verified from roll data or a cutting-room sample; a 120 GSM pouch and 180 GSM pouch can look similar in photos but differ materially in opacity, handfeel, and seam strength.
- Fabric shade should be reviewed under consistent lighting, and acceptable natural cotton variation should be agreed before cutting; unbleached cotton may show cream, beige, grey-beige, seed specks, and slubs.
- Drawcord pull testing should confirm smooth sliding, no cord pull-out, no channel tearing, no unraveling at the ends, and no knot failure under normal closure force.
- Stitching should be checked at side seams, bottom seams, gusset corners, drawcord channel, and channel exits, with no skipped stitches, open seams, broken threads, raw exposed edges, or trapped loose thread inside the pouch.
- Print adhesion should pass practical dry rub and light scratch checks after curing, with no obvious cracking, flaking, heavy bleeding, ghosting, or ink transfer to adjacent pouches after carton compression.
- Logo placement should be measured from defined reference points such as bottom seam, side seam, pouch centerline, or channel stitch line; avoid approving placement only by visual judgment.
- Odor, moisture, and contamination checks are essential for bakery-adjacent packaging; reject musty smell, damp cartons, visible mildew, oily odor, heavy chemical odor, dust contamination, or any sharp-object risk.
