- Odor check: smell fabric, printed panels, and packed cartons. Reject strong chemical, mildew, smoke, oil, perfume, or damp odors.
- Finished size: measure length, width, bottom gusset if any, channel height, and drawcord length on a statistically meaningful sample; compare with approved finished-size tolerances.
- Skew and shape: lay the pouch flat and check whether side seams are straight, the top channel is level, and the pouch does not twist after closing.
- Stitch density: verify 8–12 stitches per inch or the buyer-approved standard; check for skipped stitches, loose tension, broken threads, needle damage, and open seams.
- Seam strength: fill the pouch to the intended use weight plus a safety margin, lift by the drawcord, and inspect side seams, bottom corners, and channel openings for stress.
- Drawcord pull: test closure smoothness and pull force manually or with a gauge; cord should not break, fray, slip out, or jam under normal use.
- Knot and end finish: check knot consistency, cord length after knotting, loose fiber shedding, and whether knots can pass into the channel.
- Print placement: measure from pouch edges to artwork; compare with approved tolerance, commonly ±3 mm to ±5 mm depending on pouch size and print complexity.
